Responsible Investing

Our entire business is based on the concept of ensuring that assets and legacies are protected for future generations. The single most important asset that we can possibly pass on to our descendants is that of our planet.

We cannot credibly claim to be stewards of legacies if we turn a blind eye to the real and present perils of climate change. Unless we all take collective and radical action to reverse recent trends, the legacy that we leave behind will be one of ignominy and shame.

For these reasons, Boccard is seriously committed to the principles of ESG and responsible investing.

We believe that it is possible to both do well and do good – profits do not have to come at the expense of our planet and its people.

What is ESG?

The concept of ESG investing was first made popular in 2004.

Today, nearly two decades later, there is more than $30 trillion in assets under management linked to the global ESG movement.

One of the key objectives of the ESG movement is to increase the cost of capital for corporations which pollute the environment. In doing so, it is hoped that more corporations will be incentivised to review their current unethical practices. This is where the financial services industry can play an integral role.
